ImROC’s work across Northern America over the past 9 years has opened the possibility for the creation of ImROC Canada.

The first French speaking Recovery College was implemented in the province of Québec in 2019 under the name Centre d’apprentissage Santé et Rétablissement (CASR) following a Quebec delegation to England in January 2016. From the outset this Recovery College committed to remaining faithful to the principles of the original ImROC model, and since then continues discussion and collaborations with ImROC colleagues. More about CASR can be found here.

In 2023 the second cohort of Peer Support Worker Training will take place within the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) with the support of the ImROC UK Training team and the delivery of the revised Peer Support Worker training.

Our ImROC Canada colleagues are working across across mid and east Canada in the provinces of Manitoba and Ontario. Work with Ontario Shores and the next stage development of their Recovery Colleges has recently completed. You can read about this development here.

The Lead for ImROC in Canada is our Senior Consultant Jane Rennison. Jane can be contacted here to discuss new work, the current work and future ImROC Developments in Canada.
