220 Recovery Colleges across 26 countries

The Recovery College model was developed by ImROC, implemented in three ImROC demonstration sites in South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The implementation details have been published in ImROC’s first briefing paper.

There are now 220 Recovery colleges in England and they exist in 26 different countries internationally. ImROC is available to support you and your organisation to develop new colleges, review existing colleges and support plans for the future.

Supporting the development of Recovery Colleges that adhere to ImROC
principles has been a mainstay of work in the past decade both nationally and internationally. Ongoing work is published in the briefing paper, Recovery Colleges 10 years on.

ImROC hosts the National Recovery College Network a members action learning set that is paving the way for the next two years of Recovery College development.

ImROC runs an International Recovery college Learning Set that facilitates ongoing sharing of learning between colleges, and paving the way for continual development of Recovery colleges. ImROC is a co-applicant on the large multi-centre research programme focusing on Recovery Colleges RECOLLECT.
