Supervision for Peer Workers: Best Practices & Real-World Insights
We know that without support to foster peer relationships, and to work in challenging systems, peer workers are not able to thrive in their work. Supervision is an essential element of the support that peer workers should expect to receive. This webinar will explore what supervision for peer workers should look like, including the approaches we might use, the challenges we might encounter, as well as the evidence and best practice available to us.
Using the recent briefing paper, ‘supervision for peer workers’, we will map out what peer workers often receive in terms of supervision, and the most helpful elements of supervision for peer workers. Imroc will share their experiences and learning from facilitating peer informed supervision training, and open up the conversation so that we can collectively reflect on what’s needed in supervising peer workers.

Who can join Imroc’s events?
Our webinars and networking events are open to anyone interested in learning, sharing, and discussing the topics covered. We welcome a mix of peers, professionals, and those with lived experience, creating a space where we connect as equals with a shared purpose.
Do I have to attend every session?
No! You are free to join any sessions that resonate with you or fit your schedule.
How will the events be hosted?
All online events will be held on Zoom. You will receive a private access link upon registration—please do not share this link with others.
How can I participate?
You can choose how you’d like to engage:
Attend with your camera on or off
Join breakout rooms for small-group discussions (optional)
Participate through chat, reactions, polls, or speaking on mic
Each session will have different levels of interaction, depending on the host and format. You’re welcome to just listen and be present if that feels best for you.
Is there a standard agenda?
Most sessions will begin with an introductory presentation by the hosts, followed by interactive discussions. Our events are designed to be informative, engaging, and thought-provoking, but participation is always optional.
Please note: Free online sessions may be recorded and shared afterward. If you prefer to remain anonymous, we recommend keeping your camera off and hiding your display name.
